Nancy Nason Guss is a retired educator of 37 years.  Prior to retiring, she was a principal at two education centers for five and a half years, an assistant principal at a middle and high school for 11 and a half years, and a middle school language arts teacher for 20 years.  She holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and a B.A. degree in Speech Communication/English Education, both from the University of South Florida, Tampa.

During her many years as an educator, she was able to help many children and their parents with relationships, comfort, and working through tough times together with a spirit of love, joy, and peace. She has found that sometimes, especially when times are turbulent, we need to redirect our focus to remembering that everyone is a divine miracle of creation.  When we help each other remember this, all things fall into place in a positive way.

 

Nancy begins each day in meditation and prayer surrounded by the life within her garden and in her backyard.  The playful antics and visits from the beautiful birds and critters have inspired these stories, as have memories and experiences from her childhood and travels. Since retiring, she has been living with gussto• by living in gratitude of so many blessings that include unique and fun opportunities, such as, continuing her writing pursuits, learning to play bagpipes and joining a band, teaching on small contracts, traveling, finding ways to create natural and organic home and skin products, and going where God leads her to share and help others.

She tries to find, celebrate, honor, and recognize each person and our earth as divine creations and gifts from God, and hopes to bring that deep down contented joy, peace, and love to all through remembering all the simple blessings and pleasures we enjoy together on this planet that we all share.
